LEMON JELLO CAKE
This is the perfect cake! It brings back memories of standing in the kitchen baking with my Mom. The smell of the freshly baked cake with the warm lemon glaze is to die for. It's very simple, but grand enough to take to a party or even make for a shower. You can even make this in cupcake style instead of a 9x13 pan. If you haven't made Lemon Jello Cake before, get with it! Try this soon, it will become a family favorite for sure.
You will need:
(use real lemons...not bottled juice)
2 lemons
2 lemons
1 pkg. lemon cake mix
1 small pkg lemon jello
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
3/4 cup water
grated peel from one lemon
2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:
Put cake mix, jello mix, eggs, oil, & water in a bowl and mix for 4 mins. Bake in a 9×13 pan at 350 for 40 mins.
Icing
Mix the 2 cups powdered, grated peel of one lemon and juice of 2 lemons. Prick the top of the cake with a fork while still hot, (straight out of the oven). Pour icing over the top of the cake then put back into the (still hot) turned off oven for five mins.
