CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS

Finally! I've been trying to post this for two hours now. Blogger just didn't cooperate with me for some strange reason. Today has certainly been one of those days.

Before I even got out of bed, my head was pounding. I get up with the birds along with my hard working husband, who leaves very early in the morning. He rarely gets a decent breakfast, because neither of us want to eat at 5:00or 6:00 a.m.

The first thing I did, was head to the kitchen, to stretch before popping my DVD in the slot. I put a few things away first, which was a BIG MISTAKE! You see, lurking inside one of those drawers was a fresh bag of Cotton Candy. My sweet daughter had gone to our amazing South East Idaho Blackfoot Fair, and snagged me a bag. This is my favorite treat ever on the planet! Really it is.......so I grabbed that bag, and figured the sugar rush would end my headache. I also figured that eating it before the run, would eliminate more of the calories.

Can I just tell you, I enjoyed every sticky little bite. (Once a year won't kill me) I did my daily Pilate's, then....put on my running shoes and headed for the treadmill. I should have been outside where it's much more enjoyable, but my head was still throbbing. This way...... I wouldn't be miles from home if I babied out! Hitting the off switch is much easier!

I had too much to do to feel sorry for myself and think about it for very long. I needed to mow the lawn, which takes me about 2 1/2 hours on a good day! Ironing had built up, about 10 shirts strong. I tend to wait until my poor husband has one white shirt left in the closet, then do them all at once. Dumb!

Enough....I know. I could go on and on, but I will spare you anymore details about my day. For tonight's dinner, I made one of our family favorites. Foil dinners are usually made when you are camping, but we enjoy them several times a year. I will post that recipe tomorrow, as posting this has been a trial today.

These perfect "melt in your mouth" buttery, garlicky, cheesy biscuits are one of my favorites. They taste very similar to the Red Lobster variety. I don't use Bisquick very often, but this recipe calls for it, and they taste divine. You can make these in seconds flat.

Look at the cheesy goodness.

I use my large cookie scoop...it makes it very simple

They rise up very nicely in the oven.

Pull them from the oven when the aroma is wonderful,
and they are golden brown.

Brush the tops with melted butter and a little garlic salt.

You can even roll them in the melted butter
then
Roll them in Parmesan Cheese.

Oh Baby

!

I've eaten three of these.
I will be running miles tomorrow. My Cotton Candy is gone though!
Good thing......is anyone else going to the fair?

YOU WILL NEED:

2 cups Bisquick mix
 2/3 cup milk
 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine melted
 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

 Heat oven to 400 degrees

DIRECTIONS:
In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick, milk, and cheese until soft dough forms. Beat vigorously for about 30 seconds. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Mix melted butter and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush over warm biscuits before removing from the cookie sheet. Serve warm. So delish!

I made these a week or so ago. They are soooo good. Good for you for only eating three!
I know I hit the gym the next day and had to work extra hard, but it was soooo worth it..

Me and my mom practically go to Red Lobster just for their biscuits and I remember making something like these before. They turned out really yummy and everyone agreed they tasted just like the real thing! I can't wait to get some more Bisquick so I can make these again! I love how you took the extra time to roll them in Parmesan at the end!
